Bibis Coronavirus Update
Bibis will follow the guidelines of the government throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
We aim to do the very best for our guests, our staff and the business itself. The measures that will be put in place over the coming days, weeks and months must be carefully managed and we’re relying on the continued understanding and support of our loyal customers through these unprecedented times.
We will update this page with information as it changes and as the situation progresses.
UPDATES FROM the reservations team at bibis
23 March 2020 | 1pm
As per the government’s announcement, Bibis will remain temporarily shut to the public until further notice. We feel it is important to keep our staff at home for the time being to help containing the spread of the virus as per announcement on 22 March.
All bookings – until the date we reopen – will now sadly be cancelled and we’re very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
All deposits will be honoured and we strongly encourage rebooking when we reopen. If you do not wish to rebook then your deposit amount may be taken back in Bibis Vouchers which are valid for 12 months – this will be administrated as soon as our team are able to return to work.
As soon as we can, we will get in touch with our guests who have outstanding deposits. We appreciate your understanding, support and patience at this time but please rest assured deposits will not be lost and all vouchers will be extended so they can be redeemed in the future.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
We hope you and your loved ones are, and will remain, safe and well. We really hope to see you dining at Bibis again in the not too distant future.

UPDATEs FROM Managing Director, OLIVER TEODORANI
20 March 2020 | 1pm
It’s with a heavy heart that we have taken the agonising decision to temporarily close Bibis Italianissimo as a result of the coronavirus outbreak here in the UK.
The welfare of our customers, team and the wider population is of paramount importance to us and we feel that temporarily closing the business is the right thing to do morally.
Bibis has been in business for nearly 50 years and over the decades has adapted to overcome many challenges. We did so - and will continue to do so – with the fantastic support of our team and our loyal customers. We have always emerged stronger than before and we are confident that we will do so again.
Thank you for your loyalty and understanding during these difficult times and don't forget... We will be back!
In the meantime we’re working behind the scenes to see how we can diversify and support our customers and team. Please, watch this space!
Well wishes and stay safe.
From Team Bibis.

Bibis Italianissimo have made the decision to remain open for the time being and for the sake of our staff and the bookings we have.
We will do our absolute most to mitigate any potential issues including spacing out tables to aid with social distancing and the restaurant will operate at a minimal capacity.
Our Showtime events are currently in review and we will contact guests directly in regards to queries or cancellations.
Our scrupulous health and safety standards are being maintained and cleaning and hygiene processes are being reinforced with the latest advice from the Public Health guidelines.
All extra precautions are being taken and we are regularly sanitising all hard surfaces, table tops, chairs, door handles, crockery, glasses, cutlery, taps etc.
Additional hand sanitisers have been added to the venue along with posters regarding advice and symptoms of Covid-19 to look out for.
Our management team are extremely diligent and our staff are fully aware of the guidelines being advised by the UK government in regards to hand washing and sanitisation.
Our team are regularly briefed on the government’s updates, we are diligently tracking travel movement and no one who has returned to the UK from any of the affected areas is in direct contact with the restaurant or any of its team members.
We have asked any member of our team to stay away and isolate themselves for 14 days if they feel unwell, have a new and continuous cough or high temperature. This also applies if a member of their household shows any of the aforementioned symptoms.
We would kindly ask our guests to take the same precautions and adhere to the government guidelines.
Further advice can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response
We will update our guests and loyal customers as and when further advice is given by the UK government.
Well wishes and kind regards
